Researcher
What drives me.
I have always been interested in people. How do we think and act? Why? What motivates and influences us?
In recent years, this interest has grown to include the role technology can play in shaping people’s behaviors, emotions, cognition, and well-being. As a UX Researcher, I aim to improve people’s experiences with digital and physical products to better satisfy their needs and promote positive usage outcomes.
Experience
-
University of Chicago (2013 – 2017)
At the University of Chicago, I majored in comparative human development. This interdisciplinary social and behavioral sciences degree allowed me to take a broad range of courses in psychology, anthropology, sociology, research methodology, statistics, and more. Through my coursework, I developed a passion for studying human behavior.
-
Digitas (2017 – 2019)
At Digitas, a global digital marketing agency, I worked as a Creative Strategist and Project Manager across eight CPG accounts. In these roles, I led small- to large-scale projects and conducted research to identify target audiences, uncover consumer insights, develop personas, create customer journey maps, and more. These experiences helped me build a skill set that is fundamental to my work as a UX Researcher.
-
University of Cambridge (2019 – 2020)
I attended graduate school to study human-computer interaction through a psychological lens. As a master’s student in psychology at the University of Cambridge, I conducted an independent, qualitative study exploring smart speaker use and psychological well-being among older adults to grow our understanding of technology's ability to meet the needs of an aging population.
-
Bold Insight (2/2021 – Present)
At Bold Insight, a UX and human factors research agency, I lead in-person and remote studies for a wide variety of clients. I specialize in qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and more. Through generative and evaluative research, my work spans the entire product development process.
